About the role | Mō te tūranga

 

This Senior Advisor role supports the implementation and delivery of the Resilience to Organised Crime in Communities (ROCC) Regional Plan in Counties Manukau. You’ll contribute to work that helps prevent and respond to organised crime and serious harm by strengthening community resilience and supporting whānau centred initiatives.

 

A key focus of the role is the Community Resilience and Whānau Support (CRWS) Fund. You’ll work closely with New Zealand Police, MSD contracts teams, and community partners to manage funding processes, relationships, and the delivery of initiatives across the Auckland region. This role will suit someone who enjoys working across systems, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and translating strategy into practical community outcomes.

 

 

What you’ll be doing | Ko te mahi
In this role, you will:

 

•    Lead and manage the CRWS Fund, including local commissioning and funding processes
•    Provide relationship and contract management for existing and new ROCC initiatives
•    Provide administrative support to the ROCC steering group meetings
•    Maintain oversight of funded initiatives, monitoring impact and identifying gaps or overlaps to inform future priorities
•    Support communities to develop initiatives and strengthen connections across Tāmaki Makaurau
•    Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including NZ Police and other ROCC colleagues, to share data, insights, and learning
•    Provide advice and support for regional governance and leadership hui
•    Contribute to wider Regional Public Service kaupapa, including Te Aorerekura implementation, where appropriate

 

 

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:

We are looking for someone who brings strong judgement, relationship capability, and a commitment to community wellbeing. You’ll ideally have:

 

•    Experience supporting initiatives that strategically engage and support stakeholders
•    Experience in contract management, including drafting, monitoring, and payment management
•    Strong relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively across agencies and sectors
•    The ability to identify risks and opportunities for collaboration and improvement
•    Confidence using data, evidence, and evaluation to inform decision making
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Well developed analytical, research, and presentation capability
•    Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
•    Resilience, initiative, and the ability to operate effectively in complex environments
•    Awareness of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga
•    Full NZ Driver Licence and willingness and ability to travel as required

 

 

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $116,827.00 - $141,873.00
