As a Recruitment Facilitator, you will play a key role in connecting job seekers with sustainable employment opportunities across construction, infrastructure and related trades.
You will work across both supply and demand — partnering with employers, industry, and communities to respond to workforce needs and deliver coordinated recruitment solutions. This role focuses on delivering a high quality, end-to-end recruitment experience, while supporting candidates before and after placement to achieve long-term employment outcomes.
A key part of the role is developing trusted employer relationships and supporting workforce planning initiatives across South Auckland. Knowledge of the South Auckland labour market and local employment landscape would be an advantage.
Ko te mahi | What you’ll be doing
• Partner with employers to understand workforce needs and develop coordinated recruitment responses.
• Build strong relationships with employers, industry partners and internal MSD employment teams.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including job briefs, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and candidate placement.
• Source, assess and match candidates to suitable roles. Coordinate vacancy workflows, including referrals, employer feedback and placement outcomes.
• Support candidate readiness and facilitate pre-employment preparation and post-placement support.
• Provide responsive, high-quality service and proactively manage recruitment issues or risks. Track recruitment activity, employment outcomes and labour market trends to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
• Contribute to collaborative, community-focused approaches that support sustainable employment outcomes.
What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:
• Knowledge of the construction, infrastructure or trades sector, or the ability to quickly build this knowledge.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in recruitment, employment services and/or workforce coordination.
• Proven ability to connect people into sustainable employment outcomes.
• Experience using recruitment systems or digital tools.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
• Proactive approach, with a focus on improving outcomes and processes.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to working in a culturally responsive way.
• Understanding of the construction, infrastructure or trades sector, or ability to build this knowledge quickly.
• Demonstrates integrity, reliability and a commitment to fair and ethical practice

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $103,815.00 - $125,958.00
Salary will be aligned to your skills, knowledge and relevant work experience.
