As a Recruitment Facilitator, you will play a key role in connecting job seekers with sustainable employment opportunities across construction, infrastructure, and related trades. You will work across both supply and demand, partnering with employers, industry, and communities to respond to workforce needs and deliver coordinated recruitment solutions. This role focuses on delivering a high-quality, end-to-end recruitment experience while supporting candidates before and after placement to achieve long-term employment outcomes.
A key part of the role is developing trusted employer relationships and supporting workforce planning initiatives across Auckland North-West. Knowledge of the construction and civil labour market, including the local employment landscape, would be an advantage.
Ko te mahi | What you'll be doing
• Partner with construction employers and developers to understand workforce needs and develop coordinated recruitment responses.
• Build strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and internal MSD employment teams.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job briefs, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and candidate placement.
• Source, assess, and match candidates to suitable roles, and coordinate vacancy workflows, including referrals, employer feedback, and placement outcomes.
• Support candidate readiness and facilitate pre-employment preparation and post-placement support.
• Provide responsive, high-quality service and proactively manage recruitment issues and risks.
• Track recruitment activity, employment outcomes, and labour market trends to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
• Contribute to collaborative, community-focused approaches that support sustainable employment outcomes.
What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga
• Knowledge of the construction, infrastructure, or trades sector, or the ability to quickly build this knowledge.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in recruitment, employment services, workforce development, and/or workforce coordination.
• Proven ability to connect people to sustainable employment outcomes.
• Experience using recruitment systems and digital tools.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
• A proactive approach, with a focus on improving outcomes and processes.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to working in a culturally responsive way.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and commitment to fair and ethical practice.
• A full New Zealand driver licence and the ability to drive a Ministry vehicle.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $103,815.00 - $125,958.00
Salary will be aligned to your skills, knowledge, and relevant work experience.

• A strong understanding of emerging industry trends and workforce needs over the next five years, including ideas to address future skill shortages.
Strong industry networks and relationships across the Auckland North-West region would be advantageous.
