About the role | Mō te tūnga
As an Employment Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting clients with health conditions, illness, or disabilities to access employment, training, and development opportunities, enabling them to become independent.
You will work closely with Case Managers to understand client skills, abilities and how their capabilities can be enhanced by MSD, other agencies, and employers.
You assist clients with CV development and interview preparation, undertaking pre-employment checks, working closely with employers, and community providers to match clients to suitable roles, promote their strengths, and support them into sustainable employment.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will use your relationship-building, problem-solving, and marketing skills to help clients overcome barriers and achieve independence. You will also contribute to regional employment strategies and initiatives and provide post-placement support to ensure long-term success for both clients and employers.
Please note: This role requires applicants to have a clean full New Zealand Driver Licence.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant experience or knowledge of working within the health, disability, employment, or recruitment sectors
- Strong relationship management and networking skills
- Proven ability to influence and focus on the clients strengths and what they can achieve
- Good Knowledge of current developments and trends in the labour market, including challenges and issues faced by people with health or disabilities in employment
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
- A flexible, pragmatic approach and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Strong commitment to achieving outcomes and goals.

- The salary range is $79,200 to $95,873 per annum, with consideration given to the successful candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and other factors to determine the actual starting salary.
