About The Role | Mō te tūnga
As a Labour Market Advisor, you'll play a key role in addressing Bay of Plenty's labour market needs by building and enhancing connections with employers, industry sectors, community groups, iwi, service providers, and other agencies.
You'll utilise accurate and insightful labour market intelligence to develop tailored solutions and agreements with employers and industries. Your aim will be facilitating sustainable employment outcomes for clients that ideally provide clear pathways for career growth, increased job satisfaction, and improved earning potential.
Labour market data and insights will guide your daily activities and support the formation of strategic, long-term initiatives designed to respond effectively to Bay of Plenty's labour market challenges.
Promoting the advantages of partnering with our organisation to employers and industry groups is an essential aspect of this role.
You will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, offering strategic support to ensure alignment and effectiveness across our initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be outcomes-focused, pragmatic, with a strong understanding and appreciation of the intricacies of labour market demands.

- Relevant tertiary qualification or proven relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience or knowledge of working in the recruitment industry
- Proven experience in researching and report writing
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability in sourcing, understanding, analysing data; interpreting meaningful trends, and producing reports
- Planning and organisation skills; the ability to effectively set and manage objectives, deadlines, and priorities
- Problem-solving, innovation and strategic thinking skills
- Strong understanding of current labour market developments, trends and issues and their subsequent impact
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Bay of Plenty Labour market from an economic perspective and the challenges that landscape presents from both jobseekers’ and employers’ perspectives
