About the role | Mō te tūnga
As the Regional Contracts Manager, you will lead the regional contracts function, providing strategic and operational leadership across commissioning, procurement, contract, and relationship management within the Bay of Plenty region.
As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping how services are designed, delivered, and invested in to achieve better outcomes for clients and communities.
You will lead a high-performing team to deliver effective contract management and procurement processes, ensuring services are responsive to community needs and aligned with MSD’s strategic priorities.
A significant part of your role will be building strong, trusted relationships with providers, iwi, community organisations, and partner agencies, leveraging these partnerships to maximise the impact of MSD’s investment.

We are looking for an experienced leader who demonstrates:
- Proven leadership experience in a complex environment, including leading high-performing teams
- Strong experience in procurement, commissioning, and contract management
- The ability to think strategically and contribute to regional planning and priorities
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with iwi, providers, and stakeholders
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and decision-making capability
- Experience managing risk and ensuring robust, transparent processes
- The ability to use data and insights to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $122,381.00 - $152,296.00
