Regional Labour Market Advisors – Auckland | Tāmaki Makaurau

We are looking for Regional Labour Market Advisors to join the Regional Labour Market team and provide insight and advice on labour market trends across Tāmaki Makaurau.
 

In this role, you will work at the intersection of labour market intelligence, employer engagement, and service delivery, helping MSD understand workforce trends and respond to changes in the regional employment environment. You will engage with employers, industry groups and regional stakeholders to identify workforce opportunities and inform MSD’s regional employment response.
 

This is a regionally focused role supporting service delivery across Tāmaki Makaurau. While the role is primarily based in Ellerslie, travel across the region will be required based on business needs.
 

 

About the role | Mō te tūnga
 

Working closely with the Regional Labour Market Manager, you will monitor labour market trends, build relationships with employers and industry partners, and translate insights into practical information that supports MSD teams.
 

In this role you will:
• Monitor labour market trends and workforce changes
• Build relationships with employers, industry groups and regional stakeholders
• Identify workforce opportunities and employment pathways
• Translate labour market insights into practical information for MSD teams
• Support regional initiatives responding to labour market disruption

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience working in environments where labour market insight, employer engagement, or workforce development are central to the work.
 
You will demonstrate:


 
• Knowledge of the New Zealand labour market and employment environment
• Experience engaging with employers or industry partners
• Strong research, analysis and report writing capability
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning and organisational capability
• A full New Zealand driver licence
 

Experience in employment services, recruitment, labour market engagement, or workforce development will be advantageous. This role requires the ability to engage confidently with employers and industry partners and apply labour market insight to inform regional employment responses.
