About the role | Mō te tūnga
This is a specialist employment role focused on supporting people with health conditions, injuries or disabilities to move into and stay in work. As an Employment Coordinator, you work alongside Case Managers to identify capability, remove barriers and build practical employment pathways. You bring a health and disability lens to employment planning and help shape regionally aligned solutions.
This role is relationship-led and intervention-focused. You will:
• Partner with Case Managers to assess client strengths, goals and work readiness
• Design and coordinate targeted employment interventions
• Connect clients to training, supported placements and employment pathways
• Provide career guidance and pre-employment support (CV, interview preparation, work readiness)
• Promote suitable candidates to employers
• Identify emerging labour market opportunities for health and disability cohorts
• Contribute to regional planning aligned to health and disability priorities
You will work both strategically and practically — influencing at system level while delivering real, individual employment outcomes.
What you’ll need to succeed | Ko tō āhua
You need credibility in both employment and health/disability contexts. We’re looking for:
• Experience in the health and disability sector, employment services or recruitment
• Strong understanding of labour market dynamics and barriers faced by people with health conditions or disabilities
• Ability to analyse data and identify trends to inform interventions
• Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Strong planning and coordination skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to targets
• A full and clean driver licence

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $79,200.00 - $95,873.00
Starting salary is aligned to knowledge, skills and relevant experience.
