About the Role
We are looking for a Workplace Specialist within our Workplace Services team. We are part of the People and Capability group, and support MSD to deliver our services to clients across New Zealand.
Our workforce is changing and so are the assets we manage (property and fleet). With growth across the organisation and changing requirements, our Workplace Specialists play a key role in supporting the business to deliver our programmes to our clients.
You will bring expertise across a range of workplace capabilities to understand user needs, balance demand and provide options to enable everyone to make the most of our workspaces.
No day is the same, you will be responsible for advice, task leadership, problem solving, and making things happen. You’ll need to liaise with stakeholders, management, and teams to understand requirements and create solutions in line with Ministry objectives. You will be someone who can see all the parts of the puzzle, incorporate them into the bigger picture, and use data to support decisions.
Initially your focus will be on supporting our Travel and Transport Lead with analysis and optimisation of our fleet, along with other fleet management activities.
About you
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Has worked in asset/facilities management for approximately 3 years.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing solutions.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Has the ability to work with reports and data to support business decisions.
- Demonstrates the ability to quickly form good relationships and work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Is confident in engaging with and influencing stakeholders across the wider business.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
- Is super organised, adaptable, have demonstrated initiative along with a common-sense approach to cope with continuing change.
- Has an understanding of best practices in facilities management and how government operates.
An added bonus would be:
- Worked with a vehicle fleet would be advantageous.

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
