Team Manager Capability, Wellington
Permanent position available.
Overview of position
The role calls for people leadership experience or senior level experience in a learning delivery function. You’ll also need to champion continuous improvement, be a great communicator with the ability to communicate the ‘why’ and the ‘what’, and have strong relationship and stakeholder management.
The ability to plan effectively, organise and delegate are also essential for this role.
You will lead and grow a nationwide team of capability development professionals, helping our people to support our clients and whanau. This will require you to travel regularly across the motu.
You will also:
- Lead a high performing team of Capability Developers, whose practice is aligned to our Manaaki i te Mahi framework and supports our purpose, priorities, and ways of working.
- Recognise, respect and invest in the unique potential and individuality of each person, integrating our values of manaaki and whānau into your leadership practice.
- Set clear expectations of performance, role modelling the behaviours required to be a successful Capability Developer.
- Be in the mahi with your Capability Developers, observing, coaching, providing feedback, support and development aligned to their performance and development goals.
- Plan and support the deployment and delivery of learning by ensuring best practice principles are applied to deliver a consistent learning experience.
You will have:
- Experience developing and cultivate strong relationships with managers to facilitate the sharing of information, opportunities to learn and initiatives that will enhance learning and capability outcomes.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver impactful coaching and reflective sessions.
- Proven experience leading remote teams, with the ability to provide strong direction, as well as ‘in the mahi’ support and coaching to grow the capability, performance and engagement of your team.
Position Description
Salary range: $103,071.00 - $128,265.00
