The Safe, Strong Families and Communities (SSFC) team sits within the Māori, Community and Partnerships business unit and delivers MSD’s response to family violence and sexual violence across New Zealand.

 

 

Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role 

 

The role of the Team Leader is to support a high-performing team working across the commissioning cycle, with a specific focus on service design. 

 

The family violence service design team works across government and with communities, organisations, and end users to develop better services. This includes a broader range of family violence services to meet the diverse needs of communities, as well as supporting a culture of continual improvement.

 

In this role you will be leading an innovative team committed to improving access to family violence services for individuals and whānau that have been affected by family violence.

 

This team is committed to taking practical action to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and prioritising outcomes for whānau Māori.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:


 

  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven staff management experience
  • Experience with service design and incorporating user voice
  • Knowledge of the commissioning cycle and procurement processes
  • A working understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi 
  • Relevant subject matter experience
  • An ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing the delivery of multiple projects to agreed timelines and budgets
  • Your ability to work collaboratively but also to influence and manage the expectations of others as required to ensure progress 
  • Innovative thinking and your ability to provide practical solutions for complex issues
     

Position Description

Salary range: $120,870.00 - $150,416.00
