You’ll also assist with project work across the wider MCP group and may be asked to support other parts of the business during busy periods. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being organised, working with others, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.

•    Strong computer and technical skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams). Experience with electronic document management systems, payroll, diary management and basic accounts administration is desirable.

•    A team-focused attitude, with the flexibility to support others during busy periods and adapt to changing priorities.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with sound judgement and political awareness.
•    Initiative and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through.
•    An understanding of how central government operates — including the role of Parliament, Ministers, and public service agencies — would be an advantage.
•    A commitment to inclusion, valuing diversity, and contributing to a positive team culture.
