The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group is responsible for commissioning, funding, and stewarding high-quality services that support disabled people, their families, and whānau.

About the role | Mō te tūnga:

 

As the Senior Project Coordinator in the Commissioning team you’ll provide senior coordination support across a complex commissioning programme, ensuring plans, records and events are well organised and actioned. 

 

Working closely with Commissioning Leads and managers, you’ll keep timelines on track, information accurate, and follow ups clear so delivery stays on track and risk aware.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintain accurate records across projects and workstreams, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness. 
  • Support Commissioning Leads to develop and maintain timelines for the wider commissioning work programme. 
  • Coordinate events and webinars, including logistics, collateral, hosting support, and capturing action points from meetings with clear owners and due dates. 
  • Prepare succinct programme updates, dashboards and packs, ensuring documentation is version controlled and quality assured. 
  • Track actions, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where needed and keeping stakeholders aligned. 
  • Drive meeting cadence and coordination (agenda, invites, minutes, follow ups), and help continuously improve tools and processes.

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:

 

  • Attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise your workload effectively.
  • A strong track record of providing strong coordination support across complex programmes of work.
  • Excellent prioritisation, initiative, and resilience and comfort working under pressure and meeting deadlines. 
  • Excellent relationship management skills to establish, build and maintain respectful, effective working relationships with all stakeholders to accomplish goals.
  • Strong and effective communication skills including written.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planner, Smartsheet, or similar) in a comparable role.
  • Ability to collaborate across the wider organisation to meet project requirements within timeframes.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $68,660.00 - $83,003.00
