The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group is responsible for commissioning, funding, and stewarding high-quality services that support disabled people, their families, and whānau.

 

We’re building leadership and management capacity across our teams to deliver both change and business-as-usual effectively.

 

We work closely with providers, stakeholders, and communities to ensure services are fair, consistent, transparent and sustainable. With a strong focus on performance monitoring, data, and insights, we’re committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

About the role | Mō te tūnga:

 

We’re growing a quality improvement team that’s passionate about lifting outcomes across disability support services in Aotearoa and we need a Senior Project Coordinator who brings energy, precision, and a “let’s make it happen” attitude.

 

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on structure and knows how to keep complex workflows humming.

 

You’ll be the co-ordination hub for a number of projects and forums, ensuring our team stays focused, informed, and ahead of the curve.

 

Please note: This is a permanent, Wellington based opportunity.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide high-level coordination and workflow support across quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage logistics, scheduling, and documentation for sector forums and working groups
  • Support project tracking, reporting, and team communications
  • Take clear, professional minutes and help shape written outputs that reflect our work
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and sector impact

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:

 

  • Proven experience in project coordination or team support roles supporting senior leaders and delivering under pressure.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent writing ability that is clear, concise, and professional
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and working with diverse stakeholders
  • A positive energy that lifts the team and keeps things moving
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and project management tools.
  • Proven experience in relationship management, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $69,519.00 - $84,041.00
