Senior Insights Analyst- Evidence and Effectiveness

We’re seeking a Senior Insights Analyst to join MSD’s Income and Housing Insights team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine strong analytical and communication skills to deliver key insights that help make a difference for people. Your work will directly support decision-making and inform government’s income and housing policy and delivery.

 

Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role


In this role, you will use your advanced analytical skills to explore data and identify and communicate key trends. You will be comfortable explaining complex data and information to a variety of audiences to help build our income and housing knowledge base.


To do this, you’ll produce reports, keep an eye on key statistics, make the connections and identify any issues or opportunities for further work. You’ll tell the story behind the numbers to help others understand what the data means to guide decisions.


You’ll be part of a close-knit team that gets things done through working together, lead projects, and use your mentoring skills to support our team’s development.

To be successful in this role you will have:
•    A strong desire to use your analytical skills to contribute to improving income and/or housing outcomes for people who need support
•    Excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement skills
•    The ability to interpret and clearly communicate complex data, and present actionable insights clearly to a wide variety of stakeholders.
•    confidence using tools like SQL SAS, R, Power BI, or similar for analysis and reporting. IDI experience a bonus.
•    An understanding of MSD’s systems and data 
•    Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor others, lead key work items and contribute to the strategic direction of our work
•    Great time-management skills and enjoy working collegially in a rapidly changing and fast-paced work environment.  

Salary range: $103,815.00 - $125,958.00
