About our Team
 
The Procurement and Commercial Services team helps MSD to purchase a wide range of products and services. We are a recently established team with a great culture, and a great vision for success. Due to several exciting initiatives within MSD that require our support, we need to bring on an additional procurement ‘Star’.
 
 
The Role
 
Our Senior Commercial Specialist provides technical commercial expertise to manage high value, high risk or collaborate commercial processes.  We’re seeking someone who can plan and execute negotiation strategies that will meet the overall goals and ensure achievement of Ministry outcomes and strategy. 
 
You’ll lead and manage project teams from development to the delivery of sourcing strategies, procurement planning and sourcing through to contract delivery and ongoing monitoring and contract management.  You’ll be skilled at negotiating outcomes and managing critical relationships at all levels both with internal and external stakeholders.
 
Hitting the ground running, every day you’ll be faced with new challenges that utilise your following skillsets:
 

  • Experience in leading complex, high value procurement or commercial projects as well as mentoring team members in these scenarios.
  • Knowledge in sourcing strategies and category management
  • Comprehensive understanding of the procurement lifecycle and procurement practices
  • Extensive negotiation experience with vendors/contractors to obtain maximum public value for the Ministry

Salary range: $116,827.00 - $141,873.00
