Kotahitanga is one of the service streams within Te Pae Tawhiti, Kotahitanga is all about how we are stronger when we work together with partners - external groups, organisations, and agencies to improve the delivery of our services to New Zealanders.  MSD has a large and diverse range of partners that we work with in spaces such as employment, housing, capability building, services for disabled people, community services, and more.

Strong communication skills and relationship management will be key to your success, as you will engage with a range of stakeholders to influence change and ensure the successful implementation of our technology change.

 

As a Senior Advisor, you will provide key advice on how we can innovate, design, and test our service changes, ensuring they align with MSD’s strategic direction and commitment to improving equity of outcomes.

 

In this role, your valuable advice will shape how we approach our partnerships in the future by identifying where we can improve our existing commissioning and partnering processes. You’ll work across Kotahitanga, Te Pae Tawhiti, and wider MSD initiatives.

Skills and Experience


To be successful in this role, you will bring:


•    Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to confidently lead discussions and engage diverse audiences.
•    Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
•    Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
•    Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Ministry and other key agencies.
•    Adaptable interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
•    Ability to effectively communicate and disseminate information relating to Kotahitanga within the Ministry and other key agencies.
•    Demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects and programmes.
•    Experience in service design and/or implementing projects and initiatives.
•    Ability to lead work and mentor others.
