Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role
As a Senior Advisor in the People Experience team, you’ll lead important projects and programmes that help improve how our organisation performs and develops. Sometimes, you’ll also support other projects where your skills are needed.
You’ll be responsible for delivering key outcomes—this includes creating frameworks and strategies, giving advice on policies, and working with stakeholders to make sure everything stays on track. Flexibility is important in this role, as priorities may shift.
You’ll also make sure inclusion and accessibility are part of everything you do. Projects may come from any area within the People Experience team, and at times, you may work on projects from other parts of the People group or wider organisation.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring strong organisational development and human resources experience, ideally within a large organisation. You’ll be confident planning, developing, and delivering initiatives that support performance and development.
We’re looking for someone who has:
• Solid experience in HR or a related field, with strong OD and generalist capabilities
• Experience contributing to successful HR or OD projects, using project management methods
• A good understanding of how the public sector operates
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• The ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Effective planning, organising, and relationship management skills
• Good judgement and awareness of wider organisational context
• Strong analytical thinking and a client-focused approach
• A collaborative, flexible, and practical mindset
• A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and helping create a respectful and inclusive workplace
• A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable

Position Description
Salary range: $103,815.00 - $125,958.00
