About the team | Mō te tīma

 

Te Kāhui Kāhu is independent government business unit hosted by the Ministry of Social Development.

 

Our main function is Social Services Accreditation. We provide assurance that social service providers can deliver quality services. We do this by assessing organisations against the Social Services Accreditation Standards (SSAS) and making sure they meet these standards.

 

We also provide other services on behalf of other government agencies, including, Pay Equity Claim Oversight and Support and Core Worker Exemptions.

About the role | Mō te tūnga

 

We are looking for a Senior Advisor to join our national office team.

 

As a Senior Advisor you will provide high quality advice and support to the National Accreditation Manager and the operational management team for the delivery of accreditation services within Te Kāhui Kāhu.

 

You will work as part of the operational management team, to deliver the accreditation services by:

 

  • Providing expert advice to Te Kāhui Kāhu team members, stakeholders, and providers
  • Demonstrating a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, ensuring a culturally responsive service
  • Developing, leading and maintaining positive operational relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Supporting the team as required

 

The role will also have focus across communications for all of Te Kāhui Kāhu, both internally and externally.

 

Skills and experience

 

As our ideal candidate you will have:

 

  • High quality written and communication skills
  • The ability to build and manage relationships both internally and externally
  • Proven experience in stakeholder relationship management
  • Proven experience in operational policy and process implementation
  • Experience of working with or for the social sector
  • A sound understanding of the machinery of government and political awareness

Salary range | Utu-ā-tau: $102,533.00 - $124,402.00
