Regional Contracts Manager, Wellington Region

About the role / Mō te tūnga

 

As the Regional Contracts Manager, you will report to the Wellington Regional Commissioner for Social Development.

 

Your responsibilities will focus on ensuring the effective purchase, management and delivery of contracted services. These learning programmes support our clients’ skills development and their move toward economic independence.

 

Along with your people management responsibilities leading our contracts and programmes team, you will develop and lead the strategic direction of our contracted services in the Wellington region.

 

Your solid understanding of social and economic/business development enables you to ensure the Ministry’s purchasing power is used to its full potential to meet our clients’ needs.

 

A key part of this role is developing and maintaining strong relationships and networks across a range of industry partners as well as monitoring the performance and sustainability of services.

 

 

About you / Mōu

 

You will need to have extensive experience in budget management and financial reporting as well as the proven ability to set and lead effective strategic direction at a senior level. As a skilled negotiator, who is strongly committed to achieving goals and quality outcomes, relationship management will need to be one of your natural strengths, empowering you to influence and negotiate outcomes at a senior level.

 

Key to your success in the role will be your ability to lead, motivate and manage a remote operational team of people to ensure regional goals are met.

 

A relevant qualification in finance, procurement, business, or management is highly advantageous.

Salary range: $120,870.00 - $150,416.00
