Project Coordinator - Policy Office

Mō te tūnga / About the role
The purpose of the Project Coordinator role is to provide administrative, project, and work programme coordination support to the Policy Office. The Policy Office plays an important role in providing business support across the Policy branch and national-level strategic and advisory support to the Regional Public Service Leadership framework.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the smooth operation of our projects and initiatives, ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication within the team.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Experience in a high-level coordination role
• Experience working in a multi-project environment
• Proven ability in secretariat duties, including paper preparation and minute taking
• Expertise in managing complex internal relationships, establishing credibility at all levels
• A track record of working collaboratively and responsibly across boundaries to achieve high impact
• Knowledge and experience of the public sector, including Ministerial, policy, and operational contexts
• Understanding of government processes and directives
• A history of delivering high-quality work in complex and fast-moving environments
• Exceptional writing skills (clear, accurate, concise, and audience-appropriate)
• Experience in environments requiring high levels of discretion, sensitivity, and interpersonal interaction
• High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams

Position Description
Salary range: $68,660.00 - $83,003.00
