MSD plays a vital role for NZ in emergencies locally, regionally and nationally.
 
We have emergency and business continuity functions and external responsibilities as part of the National Civil Defence Emergency Management Plan 2015.  
 
We are looking for a dynamic National Manager Emergency Management and BC, to lead a team of specialists responsible for preparing our organisation for, and leading and responding to, a range of emergencies.  
 
With your exceptional skills in leadership, engagement, influence and collaboration, you will build and maintain vital working relationships across the Ministry and externally with other agencies and organisations.  
 
 
 
You’ll come with experience and knowledge in:

 

•    Learning and understanding organisational roles and structures
•    Leadership at a senior level
•    NZ emergency management frameworks and systems
•    Proven experience in internal and external (cross agency) stakeholder management at all levels
•    Excellent communication skills 
•    Successful development and implementation of effective strategies and plans
 
 
This is a specialist role for a proven top performer with a high degree of resilience.  
 
The role includes the requirement to be on call as part of a shared duty roster. A current driver licence and ability to drive Ministry (or rented) vehicles is required.  
 
The successful applicant will need the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Salary range: $141,109.00 - $175,603.00
