About the Role


As a key member of the regional leadership team, reporting to the Wellington Regional Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for a large dispersed team of work brokers and employment coordinators based in nine centres across the Wellington region (including Kapiti). You will drive innovation, identify opportunities for collaboration, and foster a high-performing, people-focused culture. Your leadership will ensure MSD employment services in Wellington exceed employer, client, and community expectations and respond to the unique environment and current challenges of employment in the capital city/centre of government. Your performance will contribute to our sustainable employment outcomes and MSD’s broader strategic objectives. 


About You


This role requires strong people leadership experience combined with a background in recruitment and or sales.  We’re looking for a person who can build capability and lead, while forging pathways and who excels in building relationships and partnerships across community, industry and business. You collaborate with ease, influence change, and help others grow. Your ability to see the big picture, break it down into actionable steps, and execute with precision will be key to your success.


To Succeed in This Role, You Will Have:

 


Experience embedding Te Ao Māori principles into leadership practices.
Proven relationships and expertise in leading recruitment initiatives across multiple industries.
A track record of achieving client-focused outcomes in complex service environments.
Success in managing change programmes, from design to implementation and monitoring.
Knowledge of systems thinking and continuous improvement methodologies.
A solid understanding of employment and OHS law, the labour market and economic cycles.
A data-driven approach to influencing change and driving performance.

Salary range: $120,870.00 - $150,416.00
