You’ll join a transformation-focused team at MSD, dedicated to shaping the future of our services for New Zealanders. The team is responsible for integrating delivery across technology, process and business change, in order to realise the shifts we want to make to achieve our strategic goal, Te Pae Tawhiti.

 

 

About the role | Mō te tūnga

 

As the Integrated Delivery Planning Lead, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a unified, end-to-end view of delivery planning across Integrated Delivery streams, including Product Delivery, Change & Implementation and Technology Enablers. You’ll deliver planning and sequencing to ensure alignment of scope, schedule and dependencies.

 

You’ll work closely with the wider transformation programme including the Run Ahead Design function, to ensure there is a forward view of work that will need to be delivered, and that the right artefacts are being handed into your space to enable detailed planning. You will lead on the breakdown of into an end-to-end delivery plans, cutting across a number of significant releases and parallel work, with a focus on delivering incremental value.

 

You’ll work with Project and Programme Management functions to ensure that effective delivery in-line with established planning, and to provide visibility to governance around risks and delivery confidence.

 

You’ll think strategically about the people and skills needed to deliver effectively on the plan, and identify opportunities for MSD to build capability in specific areas.

 

 

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga

 

•  Significant experience in programme or portfolio planning within large-scale digital transformation environments. You’ll be interested in and excited by transformation that cuts across Product/Solution Delivery, Technology Delivery and Business Change and Implementation.

•  Strong understanding of delivery frameworks including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models and proficiency with planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar).

•  Understanding of workforce strategy, capacity planning and resource management in order to support the delivery of a long-term programme plan.

•  Ability to manage relationships in a fast-paced and complex environment, with multiple stakeholders and priorities.

•  Commitment to quality services, delivery of results and working at pace in a complex environment.

•  Understanding of equity issues and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and their implications for MSD’s work.
