About the role:

 

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Housing Broker in the Wellington Region. This is a Fixed Term/ Secondment ending in June 2025 and can be based at any Service Centre across Wellington. The Housing Broker role was created to increase the connections between private landlords, property managers and the wider private rental market. In this role, you will work alongside regional housing staff to support the connection of our clients to suitable and sustainable private rental options. Stable housing increases the sustainability of work and career progression, supports families and builds communities.

  • Providing valuable housing market insights.
  • Engaging in sales and marketing efforts.
  • Actively interacting and communicating with the housing team to support clients.
  • Cultivating and managing relationships while forging partnerships.

 
What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū
 

  • A high level of technical expertise and professional knowledge in the private rental market and the broader housing sector.
  • Current knowledge of regional and national private rental and housing market dynamics, including challenges and opportunities.
  • A comprehensive understanding of tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in promotional and marketing skills, with an understanding of key strategies and approaches.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • A strong client-centric approach.
  • Outstanding relationship management and communication skills.
  • The ability to consistently deliver successful outcomes.

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
