Facilities Management Lead

 

The Facilities Management Lead is a senior position and is responsible for delivering the Ministry’s facilities management plan to optimise the property portfolio performance and meet organisational objectives across all of the Ministry’s sites nationwide. 

 

The Facilities Management Lead will be supported by a team of Specialist and Property Managers and together will implement best practice facilities management functions (e.g., Facilities Contracts such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building compliance, stakeholder management) to support the delivery of property shared services and strategies. 

 

A key focus of the role is championing the development of MSD’s facilities management capability and capacity, leading a team of facility management officers, ensuring all sites and assets are available to support MSD’s service delivery, and are performing at optimal levels and knowing the sites and asset condition.
  

You’ll be someone who has 'technical know-how' and experience in a wide range of facilities management activities including dispute resolution and supplier engagement. You will have had previous experience in leading and developing a team of facility professionals.

 

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Extensive Facilities Management experience 
  • Extensive management level experience in leading the facilities management function for a large and diverse organisation
  • Demonstrated leadership and delivery experience in asset management, building and asset regulatory compliance and risk management from either the lessor or lessee perspective
  • Demonstrated senior experience in developing and implementing facilities management systems 
  • Well demonstrated negotiation, influencing and communications skills
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills to help the Ministry get the most from our property portfolio

Salary range: $120,870.00 - $150,416.00
