About the role | Mō te tūnga

 

As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll provide expert commercial advice and support to managers across the organisation.

 

Your focus will span the full procurement lifecycle – from planning and sourcing to contract management.

 

You’ll partner closely with business units to lead and support the implementation of effective procurement strategies and contracts.

 

You’ll also have opportunities to shadow more senior procurement team members to grow your skills.

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga

 

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring a broad range of procurement experience, including:

 

  • Leading procurement processes – from drafting plans to managing tenders, evaluations, negotiations, and contracts
  • A strong understanding of the Government Procurement Rules
  • The ability to manage low to medium-risk/value procurements or collaborative sourcing strategies
  • Experience developing and executing negotiation strategies that align with business objectives

 

Your strengths will also include:

 

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Gathering and analysing market intelligence to inform decision-making
  • Delivering well-structured commercial plans and producing high-quality written documentation
