About the Top-ups team

 

The Top-ups team is part of the Government's response to the Abuse in State Care, Royal Commission.

 

Any living survivor with a closed claim who received a payment from the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Education, Oranga Tamariki, the Ministry of Health and/or the Crown Health Financing Agency can register for a top-up payment in line with the Government’s increased redress offer.

 

A key focus for the Top ups team is to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for claimants, and that they encounter mana manaaki (a positive experience every time) whenever they come into contact with us. We are located in Wellington CBD.

About the role | Mō te tūnga

 

The purpose of the role is to provide administration support to the Top Up Team MSD. The primary focus includes maintaining and updating the database preparing documents to make payments, processing correspondence, and other administrative duties that support best possible outcomes for claimants. The role does not require direct interaction with claimants.

 

Skills and Experience

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • An inquisitive disposition, enjoy problem-solving and research.
  • Competence in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Adaptability to learn and move between a range of processes and systems.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy and evolving environment with competing internal demands.
  • A thorough and careful approach to keeping multiple data up-to-date.
  • Familiarity with the use and function of electronic document management systems (edrms).
  • Demonstrated experience of anticipating and resolving problems through sound risk management analysis, sometimes with limited information.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $60,926 - $66,410
