The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group is responsible for commissioning, funding, and stewarding high-quality services that support disabled people, their families, and whānau.

 

We’re building leadership and management capacity across our teams to deliver both change and business-as-usual effectively.

 

We work closely with providers, stakeholders, and communities to ensure services are fair, consistent, transparent and sustainable. With a strong focus on performance monitoring, data, and insights, we’re committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

About the role | Mō te tūnga:

 

As a Business Analyst, you’ll partner with the commissioning team and key stakeholders to identify business needs, document requirements, and support delivery of programme outcomes.

 

You’ll provide advice, facilitate workshops, and ensure solutions align with organisational priorities and technical constraints.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide high-quality advice on moderately complex issues
  • Identify, document, and validate business requirements
  • Gather and analyse business processes and rules
  • Support programme workstreams and track progress
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform solution options
  • Prepare impact assessments and assist with testing
  • Develop logical/conceptual designs from requirements
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and clear communication

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:

 

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in project environments
  • A strong understanding of the Disability Support Services group and the challenges it faces
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in requirements management and documentation
  • Familiarity with public sector processes and governance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
