The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group works to ensure fair access to disability support services in New Zealand, prioritizing those with the greatest needs. Through the DSS Review Programme, the Group is focused on implementing key recommendations to deliver consistent, equitable services, prioritize high-needs individuals, and strengthen the long-term sustainability of DSS, all while upholding Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles.

 

Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role:

 

As an Advisor Operational Policy, you will focus on enhancing our operational and system design. 


This will be done by developing and updating operational policy and guidelines and participating in projects to implement policy and operational policy changes for the Disability Support Services group. 


You will work closely with the Operational team and wider group to contribute to the design and development of the systems, methodologies, tools, and policy instruments required to translate design into operational guidelines and ensure their effective use.

Nōu te rourou | What you bring:

 

  • Ideally you will have previous experience developing operational policy or guidelines in a service commissioning and or delivery environment. 
  • Proven experience in the areas of policy design, or research. 
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business. 
  • Strong experience in writing clear and concise reports or guidelines, at either a strategic and operational level. 
  • The ability to establish credibility across different levels of the organisation. 
  • Strong analytical skills, judgement and problem-solving skills.

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
