The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group is responsible for commissioning, funding, and stewarding high-quality services that support disabled people, their families, and whānau. 

 

We’re building leadership and management capacity across our teams to deliver both change and business-as-usual effectively. 

 

We work closely with providers, stakeholders, and communities to ensure services are fair, consistent, transparent and sustainable. With a strong focus on performance monitoring, data, and insights, we’re committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

About the role | Mō te tūnga:

 

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Team Administrators to join our Business Support team in Disability Support Services. 

 

This role provides high-quality administrative support across core business support functions.

 

This is a permanent opportunity and is based in Wellington. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Delivering efficient and timely administrative support of core business support functions across the team including maintaining key documents 
  • Assisting with ministerial and communications workflow management, invoice processing, and project coordination including supporting continuous improvement of our business processes
  • Supporting Business Support managers with calendar management and accessibility needs
  • Providing facilities support and stakeholder engagement
  • Embedding a culture of genuine accessibility across all team activities

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:

 

  • Previous experience providing high level administrative support particularly in Ministerial Servicing workflows, Accountability and process documentation. 
  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes, systems and technology. 
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of applications.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Adaptability and the ability to effectively prioritise and schedule your work to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience building effective relationships both within the Ministry and with outside agencies.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $61,466.00 - $73,903.00
