The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group works to ensure fair access to disability support services in New Zealand, prioritizing those with the greatest needs.
Through the DSS Review Programme, the Group is focused on implementing key recommendations to deliver consistent, equitable services, prioritize high-needs individuals, and strengthen the long-term sustainability of DSS, all while upholding Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles.
Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role:
As the Executive Assistant to the Group Manager Enabling Good Lives and Operations, you will support them and their teams. The Enabling Good Lives and Operational teams make a significant positive impact on the lives of disabled people, whānau and communities.
You will be responsible for providing effective and highly confidential executive support to the Group Manager including email, diary and document management, managing the flow of information, and coordination of key projects.
You will play a key role across the team, connecting with them to understand the priorities and share information.
This role will give you the opportunity to get involved in some of the exciting projects the Enabling Good Lives and Operational teams are working on, and you will work closely with administrative team across MSD to create and embed consistent administrative practices across the organisation.
Please be aware these roles are located in Palmerston North and is a permanent opportunity.

Nōu te rourou | What you bring:
You’ll have experience as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Team Coordinator or a role where you are responsible for administration support.
Your previous roles would have seen you provided support to Managers, including managing high volume email inboxes, budgetary and project related work.
You’ll be proactive, flexible, and ready to muck in, you have a “no task is too big or small” attitude and you'll thrive on tackling anything that comes your way.
Your ability to managing complex relationships, both internally and externally and will see you already working collaboratively with others across your organisation.
You will have demonstrated the ability to perform duties with absolute confidentiality, political savviness, initiative, and have good judgement and problem-solving skills.

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
