About the role | Mō te tūnga

 

This is a unique opportunity to support the delivery of the Resilience to Organised Crime in Communities (ROCC) programme on the West Coast.

 

As a Senior Advisor, Regional Public Service, you will provide support to the Regional Public Service Commissioner and wider regional partners, with a focus on coordinating and delivering ROCC initiatives across the West Coast.

 

A key part of the role is supporting the commissioning and management of Community Resilience and Wellbeing Support funding, ensuring investment is aligned with the Te Tai o Poutini ROCC Regional Plan and delivers positive outcomes for local communities.

 

You will work collaboratively across agencies, including NZ Police and community partners, to ensure activity is informed, coordinated, and responsive to local needs. The role requires sound judgement, strong communication, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

 

  • An understanding of the West Coast community, including iwi, local government, and central government agencies
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The confidence to provide advice and feedback on regional issues to senior leaders
  • The ability to work collaboratively across agencies, including NZ Police and community partners
  • Strong judgement and the ability to operate effectively in, at times, ambiguous environments
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $118,288.00 - $143,647.00
