Practice Manager, Identity and Access - Permanent

 

Full-time, Permanent position

 

Location: National Office, Wellington or Regional Office, Auckland
 

 

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our Identity and Access practice area within the Technology Security and Identity (TS&I) Practice. This practice area is responsible for:

 

•    Providing specialist advice and guidance to MSD staff on identity and access matters
•    Ensuring safe, secure and user-friendly access to digital systems and services by clients, staff and partners
•    Delivering best practice identity and access services and controls to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of data and information on MSD systems
•    Development and maintenance of standard operating procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the practice

This opportunity is available within MSD’s Technology Security and Identity Practice, which is responsible for leading identity and access services, driving the execution, and fostering a culture change for cyber capabilities to be suitable for tactical and emerging needs for MSD’s organizational transformation.
 

As a Practice Manager, you will be accountable for people, practice and delivery leadership for this practice area. You are also accountable for contributing to the wider practice strategy, developing and translating the practice area strategy into prioritised delivery outcomes and action plans, talent sourcing and recruitment, strategic workforce planning, and resourcing decisions to ensure the right capabilities are in place at the right time to deliver value across the Technology Security and Identity Practice and wider MSD delivery programmes and projects.

•    Develop and translate the Identity and Access strategy into prioritised delivery outcomes and action plans
•    Maintain the Identity and Access Service Catalogue and support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
•    Develop a high-performing team, aligning skills with evolving needs and fostering ongoing professional development
•    Engage with stakeholders to set expectations and deliver impactful Identity and Access outcomes
•    Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for effectiveness and efficiency of practice
•    Measure Identity and Access capabilities against industry standards to drive continuous improvement

To be successful in this role, you will bring: 

 

•    Proven experience as an Identity and Access Manager, or a similar role within large and complex organisations working in a people leadership capacity
•    Extensive professional and technical experience in Identity and Access  
•    Strong experience in the development and implementation of identity and access strategies
•    Strong knowledge of identity and access tools and processes
•    Solid understanding of current cyber security principles, standards and frameworks including NZISM, PSR, NIST, ISO 27001, ACSC Essential Eight and CertNZ Top Ten controls
•    Experience in workforce strategy development and workforce planning
•    Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills
•    A strong understanding of agile ways of working

Salary range: $161,762.00 - $200,840.00
