MSD has a COVID-19 vaccination policy that encourages, but does not require, employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and its variants, unless the role is identified as requiring vaccination at the time.

Based in our Work and Income offices, Case Managers play a vital role in our communities. We work face-to-face with clients to find ways to support and help them achieve their goals, ensuring they are fully supported as they work towards financial independence.

Case Managers understand their local community, have detailed knowledge of the support services, have connections and relationships with a range of stakeholders and know the positive difference employment can make in peoples’ lives. They operate with high levels of trust, sensitivity, empathy and care for others. Case Managers remain calm under pressure and enjoy being busy.

It’s a varied role providing a wide range of services such as income support, assistance in securing tenancies, uncovering opportunities for employment, and vocational and training options. Navigating computer systems and the web to find solutions for clients is a key part of the role. This could range from formatting a client’s CV through to researching local emergency housing options. The role is an important connector within MSD and in the community.

Once you have gained experience as a Case Manager, there may be specialist Case Manager roles you can progress into. These roles focus on a specific area or client group.
