About the role | Mō te tūnga  

The Feedback Team is a crucial part of the feedback process within the organisation, ensuring that regions, sites and teams are fully supported when receiving, reviewing and replying to feedback.

The purpose of Team Leader Site Support is to lead the practice of Site Support Senior Advisors who are based across all the main centres delivering advice and support to sites and regions in regards to complaint management. 

This role will work closely with the Manager Feedback and Complaints to ensure consistent delivery across the country. This role champions excellence in supporting sites to fully assess and respond to complaints being managed by them. There is a high focus on delivering a strong service culture, identifying  opportunities for continuous improvement in support of the delivery of integrated site support service delivery. 

The Team Leader Site Support is key in driving change and best practice of the management of complaints within the operational sites and teams. 

What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu 


  • Strong people leadership skills, ideally experience at a team leader level in operations and service delivery aspects of the social sector within Oranga Tamariki, or a comparable organisation
  • A good understanding of the governance arrangements and public sector context within which Oranga Tamariki works and the ability to applies this understanding to judgement and decision making
  • Sound knowledge of Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
  • Outstanding communication skills that will enable you to engage and inspire staff and to build skills and confidence amongst the team
