What do we do?
The Organisational Assurance and Communication (OAC) Group is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity of MSD’s operations by ensuring there is ongoing compliance to legislation and policy, communications with employees, stakeholders and the public is effective, and Ministers are supported.
The Communications and Engagement team plays a key part of OAC Group that creates and executes communications activity to help the Ministry achieve its purpose for New Zealanders.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Corporate Communications, the Senior Corporate Advisor drives and supports communications priorities, with a focus on delivering high quality internal and stakeholder communications. You will be part of a busy team working in a fast-paced environment and will bring your strengths in project development, planning and management of campaigns or projects, production management of key communication material, writing and editing communication material and support for management of issues from a communications perspective.
About You
We are seeking an experienced communications professional who is a persuasive and confident all-rounder, a superb relationship manager, a strategic thinker with an open mind and put people’s needs at the centre of our work.
To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in professional writing, plain English editing and proof-reading
- Confidence and competence in working with and advising senior leaders
- A good understanding of organisational culture and the role communications and engagement plays
- A proven ability to translate complex organisational strategy and ideas into clear, purposeful and compelling messages that are relevant to audiences’ everyday reality and concerns
- An ability to research and source ideas and information, to evaluate and interpret the implications of policy, decisions and strategy and to create compelling stories and narratives
- An appropriate relevant tertiary qualification or a high level of relevant equivalent experience

Salary range: $95,546.00 - $116,778.00
