Senior Advisor Online Content/Technical Writer - Fixed Term/Secondment - till June 2023

 



Location: National Office, Wellington

 

This is an opportunity to use your excellent writing skills to make a difference for New Zealanders.

 

MSD has embarked on a significant knowledge base project for our frontline roles supporting New Zealanders. This project involves a new platform and an overhaul of our current knowledge content.

 

We’re looking for an experienced senior writer to join our project team of writers and people from frontline to work with a range of stakeholders on their content.

 

You’ll be taking large amounts of complex information and working with content owners to validate, restructure and write concise, easy-to-understand content for our new platform.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • a demonstrated successful track record in technical writing and editing
  • a strong focus on the needs of your audience, including accessibility needs
  • an enquiring and curious mind to act on a vision and turn it into reality
  • an ability to quickly build relationships and trust with stakeholders
  • great relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • pragmatic problem-solving approaches
  • understanding of the important role knowledge content plays in a service organisation
  • excellent time management skills, experience working in an agile format is helpful but not necessary
  • a passion for helping New Zealanders lead better lives.

 

 

You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive group of communications professionals working closely with service design, operational delivery teams and IT colleagues.
