About the role | Mō te tūnga  

The Feedback Team is a crucial part of the feedback process within the organisation, ensuring that regions, sites and teams are fully supported when receiving, reviewing and replying to feedback.

We are looking for two people to join the team permanently as a Senior Advisor Enabling.  The purpose of the roles is providing regular reports on what’s happening with open complaints, undertaking quality assurance on closed complaints as well as identifying areas in which we can improve our services.  

The Senior Advisor Enabling needs to be able to be able to analyse data and complaint information to drive performance of the system as well as being able to use this information to identify which services, polices and practices could be improved.  

The Senior Advisor Enabling roles are part of the drive to ensure we are delivering best practice of the management of complaints within Oranga Tamariki. 

What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu 


  • Ability to analysis data and create reports which tell the whole story of complaints
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills
  • Ability to identify systemic and local issues and actively seek opportunities to improve the service we deliver
  • Good understanding of how policy is developed and the ability to analysis and research information
  • Effective investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and respond appropriately to complex and difficult situations 
  • A good understanding of the governance arrangements and public sector context within which Oranga Tamariki works and the ability to applies this understanding to judgement and decision making
  • Sound knowledge of Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
