About the role:


We are looking for a Senior Change Manager to join our Change Management Practice within the Change PMO.

You’ll be working with projects and our partners to deliver better outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.  

Working with others you’ll advocate for the ‘doers’ – knowing that the outcomes Oranga Tamariki need to deliver for our tamariki, rangatahi and whānau will often be through the doers (Oranga Tamariki frontline, partners and iwi).  As such, you’ll need to develop and deliver, fit for purpose change strategies and plans that maximise adoption, minimise resistance and disruption – and of course deliver to our outcomes.

The Change Management Practice within the PMO is relatively new so you will also have the opportunity to contribute to evolving the Change Management framework, lifting change capability and understanding across the organisation, and mentoring and developing other members of the team.


About you 

We have a lot of important work to do, so to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Lead and have strong hands-on change delivery experience within non-IT Agile and Waterfall environments 
  • Experience in all aspects if of change management including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, change leadership and people readiness
  • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of working in partnership with iwi/ Māori (advantageous)
  • Experience working with geographically spread teams
  • An adaptive and positive and style of working – be a team player
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Superior communication and delivery skills enabling you to influence and establish credibility
