Salary:         $95,000 - $140,000.

About the Role:


Reporting to our Manager Employment and Industrial Relations, the Remuneration Specialist will be a key role within our HR Group helping to design, lead and influence the remuneration and reward strategy and align our performance management and key metrics with policy across Oranga Tamariki. We seek someone who can take an agile and flexible approach to their work and who is comfortable with providing new insights while respecting our remuneration history.


As an organisation we are entering an exciting new phase as we work to embed our key policies and procedures and create a centre of expertise. This role will provide the guidance on building on and enhancing the capability across the organisation whilst continuing to provide credible advice.


To be considered for the role you must have proven experience working within a complex environment where you can advocate on behalf of HR  along with a high learning agility and strong conceptual and analysis skills. A relevant tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline along with the ability to be able to engage and communicate with key stakeholders will be paramount to the success of this role.


Key skills required for this role include:
 

  • Demonstrated experience in remuneration and benefit design and implementation that supports our strategic objectives
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills with effective and engaging communication in matters of confidential and sensitive nature
  • Experience in shaping, influencing, and executing remuneration policy, process and system changes
  • High level conceptual, research and data analysis skills, coupled with high attention to detail
  • Have a results-oriented mindset and an ability to work to tight timeframes
  • Proven experience participating in external remuneration surveys and understand trends in the market
  • A high aptitude for collecting, analysing and reporting of metrics
  • Excellent ability to partner with the business and HR to ensure data integrity 
  • Advanced excel skills and manipulation of data
