Are you able to provide sound and practical vocational rehabilitation advice and recommendations?  


As a Regional Disability Advisor, you provide education, specialist advice and support to frontline staff on matters relating to the impact of a disability or health conditions on employment. You will assess benefit eligibility on medical grounds, potential work options and propose return to work solutions. Working with those in the community that have a health, injury or disability whilst engaging with those support networks and agencies will be a vital part of this role. A significant portion of the role involves effectively engaging with health practitioners and the disability sector to find capability and capacity-based solutions. With a focus on employment, you will work closely with case managers to determine how we can assist our clients to reach their goals and access services they need.  

To be successful in this role you will have:


  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge in vocational rehabilitation
  • the ability to provide sound, evidence-based and practical recommendations to make sure our clients are assisted into suitable employment and provided with the most appropriate financial assistance. 
  • able to work with people from a variety of backgrounds 
  • ability to work as part of a regional team 
  • strong networking and relationship building skills
  • previous experience in vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy, disability and health support or similar setting is an advantage.

Salary for this position is $64,219 - $88,301 depending on skills and experience.
