Performance and Reporting Analyst

•    Temporary/secondment role based in Wellington to mid March 2023
We are looking for an Analyst to support the ministry by proactively monitoring performance and creating capacity for improvement.  


This involves gathering requirements, sourcing and analysing data and reporting on our service delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    SAS coding or similar programming language, such as SQL
•    SAS Visual Analytics will be a real advantage!
•    Great Excel skills
•    Knowledge and experience with MSD’s frontline applications is desirable
•    A strong desire to contribute to the development and maintenance of integrated performance reporting policies and systems
•    The capability to analyse trends contained in performance reports and research possible impacts or drivers of performance

We are looking for someone who is both energetic and driven to succeed.
In this continuous improvement focused role, you’ll be working with business units supporting consistent and accurate reporting and performance monitoring. This means you will build relationships and work closely with business units across the country to really understand their needs.
You’ll have a high degree of computer literacy, including data manipulation and interpretation, the use of graphics in conveying complex information and the ability to present technical information in a way that is easily understood by stakeholders.
We operate in a fluid and responsive environment so the ability to deliver under pressure and deal with ambiguity is crucial.


Salary range: $83,011.00 - $101,458.00
