Manager Finance Information and Systems



Reporting to the Group General Manager Finance and Chief Financial Officer, this is a key strategic position within our Finance Group.



You’ll take responsibility for leading a group of subject matter experts, including systems analysts, to sustainably develop and support MSD’s financial management systems and associated management tools.  You’ll be someone who takes an end-to-end process and systems view to deliver the best experience to our users.



We’re seeking a person with experience and in-depth knowledge of public sector financial management, accounting and financial reporting processes, who is also able to translate this knowledge into a systems view, working in a software as a service environment..



You’ll be a true leader of others.  Someone who sees their team as being “trusted advisors” to a wide range of stakeholders.  



Key responsibilities of the role are:

•    Product Manager of MSD’s Oracle FMIS – Weka
•    Working with users, third party support teams and software developers to configure, test and implement software as a service, including identifying issues and managing problems  
•    Contributing to policy and practices
•    Working with third party support partners to ensure robustness and availability of systems and effectiveness of processes
•    Ensuring documentation is maintained and updated
•    Identifying risks and escalating appropriately
•    Ensuring reporting is on time and accurate and leveraging the finance toolsets to build financial management capability across the finance team and wider organisation



This is a busy, interesting and challenging time to take up this position.  We’re about to embark on building the finance team of the future, so it is a great time to be a part of the MSD Finance leadership team.  We’re also in the middle of replacing our FMIS so you’ll have a major role as Product Manager in the successful delivery of our second major release during the 2022/23 financial year. Given the change challenges facing the Finance team in the coming year it’s critical that you have a pragmatic and adaptable attitude to your work and are someone who can exercise sound judgement and think laterally, while achieving quality results.

Salary range: $109,999.00 - $164,999.00
