About the Team 


The Organisational Planning, Performance and Governance team provides important services to the Chief Executive, the Leadership Team and the Ministers in relation to organisational strategic planning and decision making, governance and budget processes.   



About the Role


We are looking for an experienced advisor to work on our external budget process, working with business groups to develop budget bid proposals.  You will provide high quality objective analysis and support to the Manager Strategy and Performance and the Principal Advisor Budget across a broad range of areas, including leading the preparation of content and presentation materials for the budget and reporting.



Skills and Experience


To be successful in the role, you will have:

•    exceptional writing and comprehension skills 
•    a good understanding of government policy, budget, accountability and appropriation processes
•    extensive experience in issue analysis and report writing
•    strong relationship management skills and have the ability to navigate through and influence within a complex and dynamic environment
•    the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
•    sound knowledge of government processes - ministerial and Cabinet roles, Parliamentary processes, budget and public sector management systems
•    sound judgement and political sensitivity with a high degree of political nous.
