The Regional Housing Advisor role is an exciting blend of advisory, analytics, relationship and project management. Contributing to overall business performance in a meaningful way, you will be responsible for supporting national housing strategies at a local level and responding to the region’s housing demands.  The role will forge and manage relationships with government and community agencies and housing providers across Northland to achieve key goals and  outcomes. You will develop, track and monitor the work programme, providing feedback and reporting as required. This role has a strong link with Service Delivery Housing Services team, collaborating on housing activities, national housing initiatives, housing reporting and the development of national strategies.


The idea candidate has:

•    Experience leading, co-ordinating and integrating projects
•    An understanding of the issues facing MSD and the Government
•    Experience gathering information and analysing data
•    Proven experience solving complex issues
•    Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to exercise sound judgement, tact and political sensitivity
•    Knowledge of the Northland housing market is highly advantageous
•    Advisory experience in the Public Sector (preferred).

•    Salary $71,183 to $97,877 per annum (Range G, in line with skills and experience).
