Children’s Team Administrator – Oranga Tamariki – Fixed Term

We are currently looking for a highly organised Children’s Team Administrator to join our Whangarei Site. This role will see you work in partnership with the Children’s Team Support Manager and the wider team. 


The Children’s Team support vulnerable children who do not meet the statutory intervention threshold for care and protection but still require intensive, cross-agency services and support.  


In this role, you will be providing a high level pro-active, quality and comprehensive administration support. You will be required to juggle multiple demands and will be playing a part in exploring values, culture, heritage and sense of community. Another big part of your role will see you providing administrative support in dairy management to the Children’s Team Support Manager and coordinating and booking of meetings. 


Strong customer service skills and organisational skills is the key to success. You will be bringing your well-established problem-solving and communication skills. You will be working in partnership with people and positively manage both internal and external business relationships confidently. 


You will also be responsible for a range of administrative duties. This will include providing co-ordination with stakeholders’ plans, maintaining reports, producing reports for management and keeping updated records on our information system database. 


To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes, system and technology
  • Advance level of technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good time management and organisation skills to meet conflicting deadlines and strong attention to details
  • Well-developed relationship building skills 
  • Experience in using case management systems (will be advantageous)
