• Key strategic and people leadership at a senior level
We are seeking a Manager Client Service Delivery who can lead a phone-based Client Service Delivery team in the Napier Region within our Virtual Services unit. This role is reporting to the Regional Manager Client Service Delivery.
You will be responsible for leadership and operational management through the development and maintenance of a high-performance people centric team that delivers high quality phone-based services to clients. Meeting current and future expectations and demand for services, contributing to MSD values, strategic priorities, and outcomes is essential to your ongoing success in this role.
You will possess expert knowledge of how insights and learnings can better enable our client-facing people to give our clients the help and support that they need, when they need it.
A significant part of your role will be establishing credible and enduring relationship with key stakeholders and Ministry staff. This means our ideal candidate needs to be an effective communicator who is comfortable operating at a senior level. An understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular, knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples’ culture is key.
As part of our leadership team, you will bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to help deliver on the Ministry’s strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement. Your initiative and personal resolve to deliver results will be a noticeable contribution in meeting our collective goals.

- Proven leadership at a senior level and the ability to influence others.
- The ability to work with ambiguity and to move quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Experienced in leadership and development of a high performing team.
- Strategically influencing and managing relationships with key stakeholders for the betterment of communities and whanau.
- Proven ability to manage risk and change.
- Ability to relate both verbally and written across all levels of an organization.
Remuneration for this role is applied against band MSS05. The starting salary is from $120,870 to $150,416. Application along this salary scale is dependent on relevant management experience and relativity within the cohort of other managers.
