About the role

We are looking for an experienced social worker supervisor to join our Wairoa site as a Supervisor.

 

Help inspire and lead a team to get the best outcomes for our children, young people and whānau. We are on a transformational journey to enable our practice to be truly child centric. We put the voice and needs of them first, we hear what they have to say and we make sure that above all else, they are safe, strong and in an environment where they can thrive.

 

As a Supervisor, you will play an integral part in making this happen. There is plenty of variety and challenges, with no two days being the same. Your ability to quickly work through complex information to make robust, safe decisions will be greatly valued.

About you

To be successful in this rewarding position, you will need:

  • A full registration and current APC with the SWRB.
  • An understanding of New Zealand legislation that relates to the safety of children and young people.
  • Excellent social work practice knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • To enjoy mentoring and inspiring others.
  • A full, clean driver's license.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
