An opportunity has arisen in our finance team for a Regional Financial Analyst. The position is Auckland based, but you will provide management accounting services across a designated portfolio.

 

About the team:

 

The Service Delivery Finance team supports Service Delivery through the provision of proactive, relevant, timely and accurate forecasting, budgeting, analysis, costing financial and advisory services to regional and national office managers.

 

About the role:

 

In this role you will utilise your management accounting skills to support the business by providing critical financial advice and guidance to managers.

 

The Regional Financial Analyst is part of the national finance, accounting and business planning functional capability and network of Oranga Tamariki and will contribute a regional perspective to the National Office Organisational Services team to ensure that business continuity in financial policy, services and systems developed at National Office is maintained through delivery at a regional level.

 

This role provides a real opportunity to develop a variety of management accounting skills, contribute to the success of our business and also be part of a dynamic national finance team.

 

About you:

 

  • Preferably hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Finance and/or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Hold membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants is preferable.
  • Have a clean; current driver licence is essential and a willingness to drive the Ministry’s vehicles as travel across your portfolio will be required.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating financial information and concepts to staff and managers.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and in working with a large integrated management information system.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and in writing, with effective customer service skills.
